With school in full swing, it doesn’t hurt to have a few life and school hacks up your sleeve to make the morning rush a little smoother, those days of soaking it all up a little happier, and those nights of studying the most productive they can be to get the most out of school. In a house with four kiddos, and a couple years of homeschooling under our belts, I’ve learned a few ways to make this transition into the school season a little easier on all of us. Check out our Back to School Hacks (tips and tricks) for the best year ever!
While it’s still hot (close to 90 degrees predicted tomorrow!) in Florida, we’re getting into our own school groove and rhythm. The start of the school year, no matter the temperature outside, just feels like a fresh beginning. A time to clean out and purge (yep, we’ve been organizing closets lately,) to start fresh, to make new friends, to learn new things. Also? It’s the perfect seasonal excuse to stock up on fun supplies and accessories. I have to admit, even as a child, my favorite aisles to wander were always the ones stocked with “office supplies” and paper goods. To this day, I still swoon over a good planner or pretty notebook. I’ve got my own stock of gold pens and the scent of fresh markers still makes me smile. Whether you’re a teacher, a parent (or both), a student or just one that loves to learn, the start of a new school year is a great time to make some updates and kick off the season with a fresh step.
One aspect of back to school that I always love to give an update? Our own stockpile of school supplies! We recently had the chance to unbox a slew of amazing school supplies to kick off this back to school season (you can see the unboxing here), and I can’t even imagine how cool it would have been to have supplies like this on hand when I was a kid. And the scented markers thing? That one is a big check mark on my list of fun supplies, and smelling those totally took me back!
Now I’m just loving how easy it is to use everything… see some of our favorite new school supplies below:

I was just wondering if anyone made colored glue. We’ve been trying to use glue to make some glitter letters and it’s really hard to see the white on white!

I think its a good idea to let the kids decompress for a bit when they get home from school, then get started on homework. My favorite school supply is the trapper, it helps keep everything in one spot, neatly organized!

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you’ve done a superb job with this. Also, the blog loads extremely fast for me on Firefox. Outstanding Blog!
