I’ve touted the benefits of meal planning for organization and budgeting for awhile now. It’s a surefire way to make your life easier and less expensive. So, I’m going to try something new – the first Friday of each month, I am going to give you my meal plan for the next week!weekly-meal-planning

Remember, meal planning is great for organizing because you’ll already have your meal and ingredients ready for dinner. It’s great for budgeting because you won’t end up going out at the last minute because you didn’t plan. And it’s also great for your waistline because we all know we eat more food when we are out to dinner and it’s usually less healthy and packed with more calories than if we would have cooked it at home.

Here’s my plan for the week:

Monday- French Dip Sandwiches, Sweet Potato Fries, Watermelon

Tuesday- Homemade Pizza

Wednesday- Chicken Pad Thai

Thursday- Leftovers

Friday- Burgers (classic or Carribean Bleu burgers) , Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower, Salad

Saturday- Dinner Out

Sunday- Crockpot Beef and Broccoli

I usually try to do a combination of meals we love, plus a few new ones (usually from Pinterest!) to try. I make my grocery list at the same time and hit the store Monday or Tuesday morning, depending on how our meals ended up from the week before. And I always check the freezer during planning to see if there is any meat or veggie that I need to use up.
