So folks, it feels as though we can sort of, kind of move along with the progress of our rental home renovations… as I like to call them. Although everything is more of a redecoration than a renovation, because you know, we’re renting. Our landlord thankfully allowed us to paint, and we went ahead and replaced all the trim in the living room as well. But mostly? We have a lot of decorating to do still.
For now, here’s the progress of our bathroom. Since we can’t remove or replace any of the cabinets, mirrors, closet doors or lighting, we went with paint… and a lot of it. This space has been so much nicer and brighter since the new color on the walls, which we slapped on right before we moved in. Now it needs a good rug, some bright white curtain sheers that hang higher on the wall (we just used what we had already so the neighbors couldn’t see in) and plenty of art on the walls. You can see I’ve already started putting up papers to look at placement, though I want to fill that wall with a gallery of prints.
And now our brighter space is in need of a few finishing touches. I want to DIY a few art pieces for the walls, and then add in a few amazing prints, so please share your ideas! I’d love to find a great print shop to add a little sass to these restroom walls!
What kind of bathroom spaces am I loving right now? How about these beautiful rooms rounded up from my Pinterest boards…I want the space to be calming and comfortable for us, but also bright and cheery… with a clean and slightly modern hotel vibe. I want to add in enough color and personality so that it’s true to us, but with enough white to make me want to keep it clean. So, here we go. Feel free to share your ideas in the comments!
