There always seems to be something new… and with this last pregnancy, it was no exception. I was super excited to try out and share these 5 innovative baby products with you, too.
This last baby phase for us happens to be with twins, and after we thought for a while that our family was complete with four kids! Needless to say, I didn’t have ALL of our baby things stored away and saved as per usual. The silver lining? This allowed us to research and find some fun new baby products and I also happened to be super excited for the tech advancements even just since our last baby stage.
Today I’m rounding up some of our top picks in new and innovative baby products for twins!

5 BEST Baby Products for Twins
Baby Product Pick:
Okay, you guys. I was unsure. Of course, the IDEA of a small, silent, wearable breast pump was appealing. But the price tag had me second-guessing for a good while. In fact, we purchased it and I refused to open it until after the twins were born and finally decided to try it. (I knew if the packaging was opened at all, we wouldn’t be able to return it, and I wanted to make sure all was good with my milk production and that I would be able to use it.)
This is one truly innovative baby product that is truly worth the splurge. AND if your insurance covers pumps, check into this one! Some will cover up to a certain amount, and you may only have to pay the difference.
I had first heard of the competitor since Elvie was only available and marketed to the UK previously, but it recently made an appearance in the US and I love the fact that I don’t have to insert disposable one-time-use bags before pumping.
Another selling point is that the pump can be used with or without the app… if I’m using the app, I can adjust the suction, start and stop the pump and it records the amount of milk expressed! I haven’t had any issues with it, besides sometimes having to adjust the recorded amount of milk pumped within the app.
For us to get the biggest discount, we had registered for this pump on our twin baby registry and then used the 15% off registry completion coupon when we purchased (since regular coupons CANNOT be applied to this item, from BuyBuyBaby, etc.). The pump (and the 15% registry completion discounts) are available through and !
This has quickly become a FAVE newborn essential and to me, this purchase has been so worth it.
Baby Product Pick: Hatch Baby Grow Changing Pad and Scale
Currently, on sale on Amazon, save $20!
Another innovative baby product that I was REALLY excited to try and wanted to have, for twins especially, was the Grow Smart Changing Pad from Hatch Baby. It’s essentially a stain-resistant changing pad and scale in one, that doesn’t need a cover, just a quick wipe down. Meaning less laundry, a sleek look, curved design to hold baby AND a scale that works with an app on my phone to record baby’s weight.
I wasn’t sure how big and healthy our boys would turn out to be and wanted to be able to check on their weight and growth right in the comfort of our bedroom. Thankfully they came at full term and a healthy 6 pounds, 15 ounces EACH… and even so, I still weigh them every couple of weeks to check their growth.
Was this item a necessity? Absolutely not, and with our last baby, I usually just changed her diaper wherever we were… the bed, the couch, the floor. But WITH TWINS? We almost always take turns at the changing table and it’s SO MUCH EASIER. That along with having a scale handy, I would absolutely order it again.
We ordered ours from Amazon, where it’s currently on sale, but if you have coupons or a registry at Target or BuyBuyBaby, you can find it there as well! Prices are pretty universal on this one unless there’s a coupon or specific sale.
Baby Product Pick: HALO™ Bassinest® Twin Sleeper
We used a HALO Bassinest sleeper with our last and it was SO helpful! I love how it swivels, keeps baby close and having the sounds and vibration available was a big help as well.
There were so many wonderful features that when I was looking for a bassinet for twins I was so excited to find HALO™ recently released the Bassinest® Twin Sleeper. It’s the same great HALO Bassinest Swivel Sleeper, but it has space for two bundles of joy. A mesh divider gives each baby their own compartment, but they can still see that their buddy is there.
It has patented retractable sides that can be locked in place, which allow me to easily lean over and lift baby out. And now the 360-degree swivel means I can turn the entire bassinet around to reach the baby farthest away without ever having to leave my bed.
There are buttons for lullabies, soothing sounds, a nightlight to peek at baby/babies, and vibration which I hope will put the boys back to sleep right away. Just as it did for Aria.
Speaking of sleep, the HALO™ Bassinest® Twin Sleeper also has a Back-to-Bed Reminder button. This gives mommy a gentle reminder to put the babies back to bed just in case she fell asleep while breastfeeding. It makes me feel so much better knowing there is this added safety feature.
Baby Product Pick: Baby Docking Lounger
There are so many to choose from in this department, and we had previously used DocATot with Aria and that was one thing we kept. For the twins, we just needed to add a second, so it was clearly our top pick! This just kind of comes in handy everywhere. Aliyah will take one outside to the big swing and the babies love it. It’s lightweight and easy to move from room to room!
Since we typically travel so much and are adding a few more locations to our bucket-list, we recently found these fold-up travel bassinets from Lulyboo as well! With one movement, they fold up into an easy-to-carry lightweight backpack. I’m most excited to take it to the beach, but it could be used as a portable bassinet or docking lounger around the house as well.
Baby Product Pick: The Exergen Smart Glow TemporalScanner™
This temporal artery thermometer has already been put to good use lately. I’ve used it easily on the babies and can read a temperature with ease… just a swipe across the forehead. It works by capturing heat from the temporal artery and it can take up to 1,000 readings in a single second while determining which one is the most accurate.
I also used it on myself when I had mastitis last weekend and knew that it got really bad when my temperature spiked to 104! Thankfully we were able to act on it quickly and I’m SO MUCH BETTER now. Grateful though to have this handy little tool, that doesn’t have to go in-ear (I do have one kiddo that has a tendency towards tender/sore ears) and doesn’t have to go under-the-tongue (on squirmy little people that is no easy task!).
So there you have it, five newborn baby products for twins that I’m loving right now as a twin mom. Sure, there are more items that I use, and I’ll be sharing another roundup soon that will cover the first few months. I hope this post helps! I know for me, I spent SO much time researching and trying to figure out what items I did and didn’t need for twins, and there were certainly things we’ve tried that didn’t work for us, but that’s what I’ve found with motherhood, we all need to trust our gut and do what works for our family because every baby is different!
You’ve got this mama, you’re doing it… and that is what matters!
