Our first family Easter egg hunt and brunch was a blast. I started cooking on Thursday. The spread covered every surface in our kitchen, while plastic, goody filled eggs sprinkled the lawn. Those eggs were picked up by squealing, chocolate covered faces and running little feet in about three minutes. It only lasted three minutes because my sweet Baby Blue was so excited to be running around that she would pass about ten eggs until we pointed them out to her. It was amazing.

I’ve found that with children (especially when I had my second) that absolutely everything we do – including and especially holidays – is a whole lot more work. It’s also a whole lot more fun!

I’m so glad Emma was not the only one who seemed to have tunnel vision when it came to searching for eggs. She would focus on one across the yard and in her mad dash to get to it, she would pass 10 others up!

haha, it was our first real one too! And we had people come to OUR house this time, so we weren’t scrambling to be ready to leave quickly… it was a blast!
Glad yours was fun, too 🙂
