It feels as though this has been my regular view as of late. My backyard has been exchanged for the cement playground of planes and I see wings and tail fins as opposed to the willowy limbs of my favorite tree. I’ve always been a lover of travel, but there are times the monotony of it gets old. What doesn’t get old? The five calls I may or may not admit to making to Chris before he even gets home after dropping me off at the airport. The way he answers my call with a smiley voice every time and let’s me take my time voicing each concern or complaint, strange question or trivial thing I notice while I’m walking through the catacombs of Detroit Metro. The way I couldn’t get through a day of travel without him, even if he’s not actually with me, and he still thinks I’m cute and capable.
I love him and I’m so blessed to have a man that loves me and all my crazy, random phone calls.
Happy National Marriage Week!
