The last few years our Christmas card happened a bit late. Thankfully it hasn’t been after the new year (except for the small stack I end up finding that never got sent! Yikes!), but this year we’re on top of our Christmas card game!
We even hauled the family to the beach this past weekend for a little photoshoot adventure. And full disclosure, I may have wanted an excuse to romp around in the sand, it’s been way too long. I think we all needed it actually, the sand between our toes, the salty air and palms dancing in the breeze. Besides the fact that it was a refreshing time at the shore, my littles all slept so well afterwards… and any reason to make that happen is a good thing, right?!
But back to this Christmas card thing.
Photos are such an important part of my life. Capturing special moments and freezing those memories to look back on is just an amazing thing to me. This spills over into every aspect… including Christmas cards! I get so excited when the month of December rolls around and in start coming the little bits of holiday cheer to our mailbox, one by one as I see the photos of smiling, friendly faces on cards from friends.
And in turn, it’s how I like to share a little bit of our life with family and friends… we’ve even announced a pregnancy via Christmas card in the past.
Last year, I went with Minted for our cards and they didn’t disappoint. Luxurious and thick paper stock makes the quality of the cards stand out from the rest and there are endless design options from their community of indie designers to choose from. Plus, the customization takes it to another level… foil pressed designs, shape and layout choices, slip–in liners, return addressing, color options. All of it has made me a return customer. Seriously though, there are SO many cards to choose from, and below are a few of my favorites this year! Give a girl a hand and help me choose?!
1| Minimal Christmas Tree 2|Classic Holiday Post 3| Soft Encircling Joy 4| Modern Family Joy 5| The Happiest Holiday 6| Lyrical joy 7| Minimal Joy
Now, clearly I like a more minimal, modern design where the photos really stand out (though there are styles for every preference!) Every design looks different based on the photos used, but one thing I like about using a design from Minted is their find it fast option. Just upload a few pictures and see your own family Christmas portrait in multiple designs at once which really narrows the options quickly since it’s clear how your photo works into each style.
Mine will be complete with Minted’s FREE Address Assistant where I can upload my recipient addresses list during checkout and I’ll have the addressed envelopes arrive with my cards! Maybe I will get them out on time this year since I’ll only have to add postage and mail.
I have to say, ordering my cards in the next week (once I choose the design!!) is exciting, but it’s doubly exciting that Minted wants to gift one of you a $250 shop credit! What better way to get in the Christmas spirit than giving one of you $250 for your own holiday cards!
If you happen to spy a design you can’t live without and have a great promotional offer, you can take advantage of the “Buy Now, Personalize Later” option, which allows you to lock in an order with a current promotion then personalize with photos and text later!
*Our cards this year are c/o Minted, but all opinions are 100% my own, and I would print there regardless. Thanks for supporting the companies that make Fresh Mommy Blog possible!
