I love vegetables, but to be honest, asparagus has never been a favorite. I’ve tried a few different recipes, but after throwing this together one night, it’s my go-to. It’s super simple and adds just enough flavor to complement the asparagus well. And it pretty much goes with any main dish!
Start with nice bunch of asparagus and wash it well. You’ll want to cut off the ends to clean it up. I recently read where you should take one stalk and snap it at the bottom and where it breaks is considered the “good part.” Not sure if it’s true, but I’ve been doing it anyway. It seems to work just fine!
After snapping one, I just chop off the rest to match.
From there, it’s as simple as spreading them on a pan, drizzling some olive oil, and topping with a little sea salt.
Add a nice Parmesan layer (I prefer the “flakey” type to the canned, but plan on trying fresh for my next batch).
And finally, pop it in the oven for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
The final product is delicious and a great complement to any meal! I served this with steak and potatoes… Yum!

I love asparagus and these look delicious!
I actually have some sea salt — it’s pink coloured so I don’t know if that will change the flavour, but I will try it and see.

I don’t think the pink color will matter at all! It will still be delicious!
