We recently had a Girl’s Night In, meaning lots of snacks, flowers and candles. And a stack of movies. Preferably movies with lots of dancing.
Getting together is so much more than just finding the comfy spot in piles of snugly blankets as the sun falls below the horizon and the dance moves on the screen beat along to a great rhythm. It’s just as much about the connection, about the conversations that happen between the movies, the moments where quiet nods of encouragement and really hearing the emotion that whispers through spoken words… and it means so much more than the bowls of chocolate brownie sunday with a side of strawberry shortcake we just tackled in the kitchen.
It’s the beauty of relationships. We all have different situations and issues, lives and schedules, some are married, some have kids… and yet we all share, and love, and understand. We all need sharing, and love, and understanding. When the tears fall or when the smiles spread, when the call is made or the need is there… we come together.

You have a real gift of creating warm, loving, special times around you and your family. I’m sitting on a couch with my daughter going through some of my favorite stuff from your blog and “introducing” her to your lovely gang. We just oohed and aahed over the sock-monkey party! It’s been so fun that she jumped on the project lipstick bandwagon with me! I don’t see the link up for Sunday Citar – but I’ve got mine up! Hugs from Oregon!

I completely agree Tab, it is such a beautiful thing when people find or make time in their busy schedules to keep in touch with friends; to share what is happening in their life and to find out what is happening in yours.
I had SO much fun connecting with all of the ladies through project lipstick! I can’t wait to see what you ladies come up with next!
xoxo
