The theme at ‘i heart faces’ this week is “babies.” I’m always up for an excuse to look through baby photos and share them, although choosing one, well that’s a whole different story.
I post this just as this baby, who turns four months old tomorrow is gleaming at me, milk-faced, just after another ’round of nursing. Have I mentioned how much this kid eats? But what stands out to me more than the magnitude of his appetite is the amount that he’s changed. Just a few short months have passed and I find myself missing, and scrambling to hold onto the memories created at the beginning. So many things change, but the love, oh the love. That is ever growing. And the way he’s sidled up to me, not quite sure if he wants to nurse or look up at me with those big blue eyes and smile, so he seamlessly switches from one to the other… I know he loves me back.
