I’m all about keepin’ it real, and so I’ll just go ahead and get it out there…
This is the head of hair we wake up to every morning with my daughter. She’s a good, hard sleeper. And you know what? On those days when we get to stay home and the only people that will see us are the UPS man or the neighbors as we check the mail, I don’t do a thing to it. Sometimes I’ll run a comb through, or my fingers. But other than that, I just leave it be. After a few hours and a nap, we’ll be right back to this look anyway. And if we need to run a few errands, I’ll just throw a hat on her head and we’ll head out the door. After all, it is winter.
I’m just keeping it real… and wondering what I’ll do when I have two little heads of hair to take care of.

ya know that is 1 reason why I was happy to have a son first, especially a son who was a swimmer and always had his head shaved- which is good because he does not comb his hair at all.
Though now I have a 4.5 year old daughter and 14 year old son who just stopped swimming and is in desperate need for a haircut… but doesn’t want it shaved.
I am so waiting for him to start caring about how he looks and take care of his hair, this boy has magnificent hair (and to bad heβs inherited my inability to do anything with it) its thick and has a nice curl when it gets longerβ¦. Why did my daughter have to get her dads fly away baby fine hair?β¦β¦ and she wonβt let me put in pig tails or a pony tail or have anything in her hair at allβ¦.

It’s so interesting to wonder what kind of hair number 2 will have.
My number one has fine, blonde hair that didn’t really grow till after 16 months or so. He still has only needed a couple of haircuts to neaten it – otherwise it is straight, fine and oh so neat (in contrast to my own mess of curls!). Number 2 was born with a shock of dark hair which has a mind of it’s own and refuses to sit straight.

haha I do the same thing- we keep our son’s hair a little longer because the wavy locks are so…pretty. π I foud this magic hair stuff for kids called morning miracle and spray it on him every day! Have a Happy New Year!!

My first didn’t have hair until she was about 2 1/2 and now it’s curly and we are forced to do something with it almost every day. My second daughter’s hair is fine and straight and a bird’s nest of magnificent proportions seems to grow out of the back of it if we don’t keep it tame!! Fortunately, they are both really good about having their hair “done”…there’s not a lot of screaming involved π

ah…we have similar bedhead with the girlie too. but the nice things a/b boys is that you can leave that bedhead look all the time. or give them a buzz cut asap would be my husband’s solution to boy’s hair dilemma.

My pre-schoolers head always looks like this too, tee hee…she’s s crazy sleeper! And I am lucky to get a brush through it too. Every time my mum visits she’s always fussing with her hair…trying to put it up and style it and it drives her nuts, hahahah…it cracks me up every time!

Adorable! Just remember that there will come a time when she won’t come out of the bathroom for an hour because she’s working on her hair — at least that’s what happened with my two daughters. Hope you all have a happy New Year.

I love seeing what her hair will look like after nap. There have been plenty of times where she has woken and I just had to hide my laughter. One time I actually took a picture of her hair after nap. LOL. Gotta love bed head.
And when you think about it, Brayden’s hair will be easier to do than Aliyah’s, unless you plan on growing his hair out too. π

π I wish I could let my kids hair be that long so that I could just “let it be”…wait, I do let it be even though they’re boys. But their curls are out of control and when I don’t do their heads…oh my. They look straight out of the gutter. I sometimes feel bad about it….
