I always feel confident when I’m away from home, that things will get taken care of. The house will be cleaned up, and always, always vacuumed.
To her own request, we indulged Baby Blue with a vacuum of her very own. Not a day goes by where it is not in use.
She will disappear and after just a few minutes, a mild humming sound will come from upstairs. We know she is teaching her ‘baby’ the very important task of keeping the floor clean.

LOVE those silver picture frames in the background- where did you get them from??

She is just too darn cute. Teach her how to clean now, because when she gets to be the ages of my girls, she won’t want to do ANYthing.
Cindy says
now how about that! what a sweetheart!
Jaden Paige says
haha that is SO adorable! Isn’t it great how they always want to help out?
My girl loves to help pick up her toys… Of course it helped that there was a song on one of her favorite shows (Jack’s Big Music Show) that proclaims- “Clean ’em up! Clean ’em up! And put ’em away, put ’em away, put your things away!” Now she loves to tromp around the house picking up messes and singing the song. 🙂 I swear, that singer is a GENIUS!
Prasti says
too cute. i love the fact that her vacuum is a real vacuum that sucks up dirt…not a pretend one.
never to early to introduce your children to child labor ;o).
Sara says
That is so sweet, she is such a little helper! My youngest two have vaccums too (we had to get TWO cause they fought over it)… hopefully it will keep up when they’re all teenagers. Yeah right!
Izzy 'N Emmy says
Aw, that is so sweet! Emmy loves the vacuum, but Izabel runs! lol! She’s going to be such a tidy little girl, your baby blue.
Aleta says
Wow – I’m impressed that she cleans! I’m…. speechless… I didn’t think children did that any more, I guess because of what my friends tell me about their kids. Bravo to your daughter and to you!
FRIGGA says
I <3 kids that <3 vaccums!!! It's one of the greatest toys a kid could have! 😉
Briony says
she’s such a little helper…haha so cute! when i was little i loved washing the dishes…i would stand on a chair and sing to myself for the longest time. haha. I loved it. I think it had something to do with the soap bubbles and feeling grown up.
Marla says
She is just too cute for words 🙂

I just love your photographs. They are amazing and your daughter is adorable. Are you a photographer or do you just have a good eye? Maybe that’s a stupid question. Also, what kind of camera(s) do you use? Your blog is so nice.
Michelle says
Great angles Tabitha!
Kelly says
Way to be a good helper, Baby Blue! Want to come ‘play’ vaccum at my house…we have plenty of floor to vaccum here? Owen enjoys chasing the vaccum and seeing how many balls I can pick up with it…maybe you could teach him a lil’ something!!!

Oh, I loved this post!
As if it were yesterday, I can still see my daughter, now 36, vacuuming her room at age 4-5. She loved doing that! Such a sweet, sweet age!
Your little one is such a cutie!

She could be a source of revenue, you know! 😉

I love child labor! Our 2 year old received a mini Dyson for x-mas and vacuums all of the time… we should have done what you did and bought her a real one!

I so want to hire her!

OMG Tabitha. That is freaking CUTE. My son wants a broom his size. I’m having trouble finding one that isn’t pink. I may just have to paint it!
He wants to vacuum, too. I’m just afraid he won’t be able to handle the monster. It’s just so big and he is so little! He may be 11, but he looks like he’s 6 or 7! So cute.
I hope that continues on for Baby Blue! What a great way to start life!
xoxo
Ashley says
This is incredible. I’m definitely going to buy one of these whenever I have children and show them how ‘fun’ it is to vacuum! In the meantime, can she come over to my place?

That is HI-larious! And cute!! I’m lucky if the boys (5 & 6) take their dishes to the kitchen after mealtime. Vacuuming? Ha.

Jaina says
What a sweetheart! I have to admit, I love vacuuming. Not so big on most other chores, but I love that one. Everything just looks so nice after a fresh vacuum.
