We’re sharing the best lunchbox tips PLUS a free download for easy lunchtime meal planning that kids will actually love to eat and included shopping list!
I’m just going to say it… I was a bit surprised when I opened my inbox recently to an email from The Container Store inviting me to chat about putting together an event in the Tampa Bay area, since they were only doing a few nationwide and wanted to work with me on one in my area.
Thankfully, I didn’t just write it off as a silly mistake and I answered back. I’m so grateful they reached out, grateful I took a leap and answered them and grateful for such a fabulous event with tons of lunchbox tips pulled off with an amazing team in one of my favorite stores!
I mean, a store that is ALL ABOUT organization? How can it get any better than that?! I could get lost in their aisles for hours.
Luckily, about a week or so ago, I had the chance to do just that with a store full of friends that came out to our “Think Outside The Lunchbox” event!
I teamed up with and Becky Fox of Fox Fitness to come up with a plan for tackling all those dreaded early mornings. The tight deadlines and lunch boxes waiting to be filled now have healthy options that will leave your kids actually wanting to eat what you send!
Since this store rocks in just about every way, it’s not surprising that their team on this event was made up of some of the best people to work with, the snacks and treats they brought in were delicious (and totally school-themed, how fun!), and there were plenty of giveaways too!
A few of the lunchbox tips I shared that day, you can find right here on this post as well.
Tips for making life easy on mama and making food kids have fun eating. Tips like making lunch food fun with kid sushi, creating DIY lunches for your littles to build something they can be proud of, and crafting sandwiches without the bread.
Of course, we had a handout at our event with all kinds of recipes, lunchbox tips, tricks, and even a shopping list to get you through the grocery store… and I couldn’t keep it from you, so here it is below so you can download and print for yourself!
One of the best compliments I’ve received in relation to my kids and their lunches was from my son’s preschool teacher who let me know one day that everyone always had so much fun with Brayden’s lunchbox. “It’s like a rainbow!” she said through a large grin.
Packed with a colorful mix of food to give the highest vitamin pack for each punch of a bite and then stored in an array of multi-colored containers, it gave all the kids at the lunch table something to talk about. “We have fun naming and practicing our colors based on his lunches,” she told me and I couldn’t have been more proud. Also happy that he ate his food and gobbled it down so well.
Check out some of our favorite lunch box helpers from The Container Store below… and enjoy bits of the rainbow every time you open that lunchbox 😉
Happy lunching and munching friends!

I was so sad that I missed this event! The thunderstorms were just so bad in my area and I was scared to drive in the rain especially given all the flooding. It looks like I missed another great event. Pinning these ideas!

Thanks for pinning Denise!! Wish you could have been there as well. Totally understand… the flooding was still pretty crazy. Maybe the next one! 🙂
