Chris and I stayed up until 2am wrapping, ribboning and basically putting presents together so there would be very little of the difficult unboxing and building of toys on Christmas morning. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t all wrapping until then… it was also a binge watching session of Downton Abbey as well. But at least we have some of the cutest 2 pound family members to keep us company. Internet, meet Gingerbread and Noel, our new Christmas kittens.
I’m sure you can which one is whom. 🙂 This little brother and sister duo of fur were an early present for the kids and have been such a joy in the house! While we were sort of looking, these two popped up on our radar from a local shelter who had rescued the week old babes from a nearby humane shelter kill-list, and when we went to visit, we knew they would find a home so quickly… of course, that ended up being our home the very next day! Thankfully, they’ve both been incredible with the kids (being carried around from morning until night), playful, cuddly and just all around sweet.
So while we huddle inside with our very large and growing family and baton down the hatches (well, just metaphorically since it’s 80 degrees outside our door), we want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas! I’ll be signing off and closing my laptop for a few days, but want you to know I’m so enormously grateful for all the joy you’ve brought to our family this year. Your notes, comments, messages and tweets bring a smile to my face. Enjoy all of your Christmas trimmings, merry making, kisses under the mistletoe and the look as ones you love receive gifts and love. It really is the most wonderful time of the year. I’m off to enjoy it and hope you do as well. Thinking of you, grateful for you and wishing you the best Christmas yet!
XO
