It has been a bitter sweet week for FreshDaddy. I bid farewell to my beloved family last Saturday morning as they headed out on the road. Once again I hear the voice of one, Phil Collins, singing in my head, “You don’t know what you have ’til you lose it.” But I am so thankful my loss is only for a short term. A life without my generous wife and the little ones we are blessed to call our own, pales in comparison to any form or semblance of life with them. I am reminded daily of how boring and lacking my bachelor days were. Sure, I was busy but it was mostly that… business. I have found fulfillment in chiseling out a beautiful love life and letting it continue to cultivate and take form. I am truly excited to watch the Statue of our life being carved and crafted with each passing year. I know at the end I will be proud of what has been created by the two of us. Never take what you have for granted, every chip, every scratch. Every rocky edge and every smooth curve. Count your blessings with each passing day and live your life with the intention of leaving a beautiful masterpiece behind for all to see. These past few days, although an abyss of quiet time without the family, will also add to the shape that is the Blue Family Statue.
What will people see when your life is finished?

I heard once that one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is to love our spouse. Looks like you’ve got that covered…:) You both and your children are so blessed!
