#PROJECTlipstick Campaign Launch

The story of #PROJECTlipstick began in a simple car ride with a friend as she rifled through the arsenal of lip shades in her purse that had been lying dormant, never been worn. Some of you may remember the Instagram campaign a couple of years ago that stemmed from the little story here, but what I wasn’t expecting was the flood of emails and messages of women who were empowered and encouraged by the end. You see, we women don’t need lipstick to make us feel beautiful, not at all, but sometimes we just need an avenue to bring us out of our comfort zone. A place for confidence to stem and bloom.

With #PROJECTlipstick, we wanted to create a community for women to encourage each other, a place for us to celebrate beauty… the natural beauty that radiates from within and makes us shine on the outside… We’re just giving it a little nudge! So celebrate your inner beauty with us and spark your outer confidence in this fun campaign we hope will inspire courage and a bit of charm in your everyday.

So this weekend, round up your stockpile of sticks, creams and glosses… clean out your handbags, rifle through those messy drawers, whip up an easy batch of this DIY lip scrub to prep your pout and get ready for #PROJECTlipstick! It’s really easy to join along! Starting on Monday, September 1, post a photo each day, a self portrait, while wearing a rarely used or brand new, need to be seen lip color. Use a tube or pot of pigment rounded up from the dark corner where it was hiding or find a hot-for-the-season-shade and hashtag your photos on Instagram (Twitter and Facebook as well) with #PROJECTlipstick!
