And so it happened. Our first #PROJECTlipstick event delivered epically amongst a smorgasbord of chocolates and cupcakes, candles and roses, deliciously scented scrubs, lotions and lipsticks. Oh, and it was sprinkled with a hefty balance of laughter, love, beauty and inspiration.
Of course the night was filled with nods to pampering, beauty and lipstick (as everyone had their own makeup and skincare consult and were able to play with so many great colors!) and it was most definitely fun… but it was even more than that. My heart was that every single woman would pour out of the doors of Lush that night feeling incredible, about themselves and who they are. I welcomed everyone that night, while literally standing on a chair, with words of encouragement and love because I really feel like it’s so easy to play the comparison game, to look around at others and what they do, or have, or look like, or accomplish… and judge ourselves in comparison to what we see (I know we all do it, I do too!). That night I wanted to give each and every one of us permission to be ourselves, to enjoy each moment, all the fun and all the pampering, without comparing. Without feeling like we needed to be doing anything other than being there, than being present. And oh, I’m so grateful for each women that was present. The night was a delight!
Since we all have days where we need reminders to love ourselves, days we need a little extra encouragement and inspiration to get the day started on the right foot, we created a special gift to ourselves to do just that! Everyone left with their very own, customized mug for their favorite drink… a mug that will bring smiles and a little extra confidence for days to come.
One of my favorite parts of any event is putting together an amazing bag of swag so that it’s a party that just doesn’t stop. And I have to say, we had some pretty amazing sponsors! So while we mingled and talked, we also peeked through a bag full of goodies… of which I also sent everyone home with a kiss. I couldn’t find kiss printed tags in time, I created my own by kissing everyones kraft bag tag with a freshly swiped red lip!
A huge thanks to our amazing sponsors Bellus Threads, Lush International Plaza, Lemon and Lavender, Gemara’s Gems, Otterbox, Isla and Lily and ROC Paper Scissors for providing such incredible items for each and every women in attendance that night. They totally made us feel special… and I love using every single thing!
Plus, we didn’t want YOU to leave here without the opportunity to party with us, and we’re going to send one of you a swag bag from the night!
***Giveaway is now closed, congratulations to the randomly chosen winner Adrienne Scanlon!***
Thank YOU for being a part of this night, in one way or another (even if it’s just in entering to win!)… you mean so much to me!

This looks like SO much fun! The create-your-own coffee mugs is so clever! Would you mind sharing what kind of markers you used?
Thanks for sharing your event!

Hi Megan!! Sure we just used the Sharpie oil paint pens and there was another brand we grabbed from JoAnn’s as well. It was super simple, and everyone left with easy instructions on how to bake the paint to set! I will be posting the tutorial soon 😉
