I recently picked up this chapstick as I was on the hunt for a lanolin-free lip balm that I could fall in love with. Meet my new love affair. After realizing that lanolin is basically the sweat and grease of a sheep, I decided I didn’t want to slather that all over my lips. All I could picture was all the sweat and ooze of a big, hairy, greasy, four-legged creature being soaked up and bottled for me to moisten my kisser. I was devastated as I read the ingredients on a few of my favorite lip products, and decided I would be leaving them for a new love. My lips will forever thank me.

I haven’t decided if that bothers me or not, LOL. I might have to try some of your lip stuff though. Aliyah already told me about it. “MOmmy’s chap stick taste like coconut.”

LOL i’m sure they use medical grade lanolin for beauty products. it is probably in your lotion products as well, at least we used lanolin to make lotion in freshmen chemistry lab ;p

Again, learning something I didn’t know. Eww, never realized what Lanolin was. However, it was very nice to have around during pregnancy. LOL!! I’ll never put it to my lips again, must check the labels.

OK, that was funny! I didn’t know about where lanolin came from, but I did find out it was from sheep while preggers. I always knew wool caused me to have an uncomfortable itchy rash allergy, but then had the same reaction to lanolin! Thanks for the new product tip.
