“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.”
~ Albert Einstein
A friend of mine, who also happens to be a very good friend of Aliyah’s, delighted us with a visit this week. A visit full of fairy tales and princess kisses, pony trotting and pig flying, as other entire worlds masqueraded through the pink purple that is my darling’s room.
And as I heard voices weaving themselves through comedy and fantasy twisting itself into history, my mind began to lose sight of logic, reconciling it into oblivion. Not something accomplished by accident, but by pure decision. For fairies, princesses and pink houses were much more fun, much more compelling, and much more important than the logic of lists and to-dos.
I’m sure logic has it’s place, and I’m certain it will again rear it’s head many times over, but for now, you’ll find me and my kids hard at play in imagination, living in pink castles with talking animals and more princesses than one can count.
Imagination does something. It stretches the creative, makes dreams grander and hopes brighter. What will you imagine?

Play is so important…it’s great that you get down to play right along with your kids! That’s one of my favorite parts of parenting. 🙂

Uh oh! Mr. Linky is on the blinky! :0)
That little ‘rugrat’ is SO adorable and so is your princess! I wish my girls were still young enough to ‘play’.
Well, I will try back later to see if Mr. Linky is working. For now, here is my link:

Ah yes, the good old days of Imagine Nation… where all else but what the mind creates fades away and all becomes right with the world, for at least a little while. I need to visit Imagine Nation again sometime soon. Thanks for the reminder!
Great post!
