I’m posting from my hotel room in Chicago this weekend, and going through my daughter’s birthday party photos makes me miss her even more, and I’m getting a craving for some sweets.
We definitely made the kids feel like they were in a candy store at Aliyah’s 3rd birthday party, and I think most of the adults lived out a major candy fantasy.
Now, if I could just stop eating the leftovers.

Here are a few more looks at the big day.
Thanks to sales and coupons, every family left with their own new game of Candyland to play.
The Birthday Girl liked to hover by the candy buffet as we were setting up… and frankly, so did I. On the menu were mini cheeseburgers and curly fries, served up in these snow cone cups on a tray of tootsie rolls.
The kids loved having their own tables to sit at while noshing, and I loved these lanterns made to look like giant candy hanging in the trees.
The outdoor bubble dance floor was a big hit!
And, there was plenty of sugar to be had.
We were so blessed and so was she! Thank you to all who came and to my friends who helped. And again, Happy Birthday Aliyah, you’ll always be my baby girl.
P.S. I want to give a big thank you to Hostess with the Mostess for this Candyland party inspiration.
