For our third and final week of #PROJECTlipstick we are focusing on nudes and neutrals. Neutral lipsticks and glosses are a beautiful way to emphasize your natural lip color. They are a perfect compliment to dramatic, smokey eyes or to go minimal with your makeup. At the moment, nude lips are very on trend so it was quite easy to round up some pretty picks for you. My personal go-to is Tarte’s Lipsurgence in Exposed, it has a matte finish but it is incredibly moisturizing and on top of that it is minty fresh.

A few tips to rock the nude lip…
Prep. Make sure you’ve exfoliated and moisturized. Bold reds and neutrals are two shades that really can bring out chapped lips and imperfections.
Line. Using a liner that matches your lip tone, outline your lips (can even outline the outer edge for faux fuller-looking lips) and then fill in your entire lip with liner, especially the inside! This will help your lip to stay looking nude and steer you away from… dead.
Color. They key to a great nude is in choosing the right color for you. If you have fair skin, stick with a peachy-beige colors. For medium tones, stay with the peachy pinks. If you have dark skin, go for the honey or caramel colors.
Gloss. This last one definitely isn’t a necessity as a matte look is hot for the fall and winter, but if you want some shine, add a little gloss right to the center of your lip for a fuller effect.
I’m excited to see all of your neutral picks this week, make sure you find us on Instagram at @BrionySkerjance and @TabithaBlue and share your lippies with us… Plus, we’ve still got a week life of some GREAT giveaways!!
