Ever feel like your reading list is longer than you can finish? Well, put that aside for the moment and join us in our new #FreshMommyReads 2017 BOOK CLUB!! We’ve rounded up TOP picks from all different genres and will be having live reviews and conversations on our YouTube channel and live events for our 2017 book club at our studio every month as well!
As a mom of four little ones, there isn’t leisure time to sit and relax with a book, usually. I decide to make the time for it. We all have a little time for the things we love to do, the things that make us happy, relax us, better us… and for me, reading is one of those things. Though that doesn’t mean I can devour a book in a day like I used to, I can most definitely make time in my schedule for a book a month (maybe it’s locking myself in the bathroom for a bath a couple of times, or reading a chapter in car line here and there), and that is exactly what this book club is all about!
I want to join in with others that love to read. I want to inspire those that haven’t picked up a book in awhile. If just one other person reads along with me, that is success in my eyes! Though wouldn’t it be fun to do it with a group of others so we can chat and learn and grow from each other?!
My dad always used to say that it doesn’t matter how old we are, we can always learn (especially on those days when I didn’t want to go to school… he’d remind me that a smart person is always in school, even if it’s the school of life). For me, books are the greatest textbook. They convey a message, tell a story, transport us to a different place, open our eyes to new ideas, culture, ways of living and more!
It took a little time, but my team and I rounded up some top picks after perusing and scouring every major list out there! Books that have been on our list (our never ending reading list!) that have also made it onto many others as well as collected some great accolades. We’ve got books from all kinds of genres since we wanted a good mix between fictional novel, memoir and self-betterment. So what do you say, will you join us?

So, how does our 2017 BOOK CLUB work? Just pick up the book for the month (find it at the library, borrow from a friend, download on Kindle or e-reader or pick it up online or at the bookstore!) and read along at your own pace during the month! Once the month ends, we’ll host a live video stream on YouTube where we’ll review the book, share our thoughts and ask questions… you can interact, comment and ask questions as well!
Beginning in March, we’ll also hold a live book club event at our studio every first Tuesday of the month…. and the doors are open! We’d love to meet our local book-clubbers in person, and will have a great time chatting about the book together!
Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel, and follow along on social media, so you don’t miss any of these events!
PS. I know it’s the END of January right now, so if you can, grab the first book and devour quickly, I applaud you!!!! And if you can’t, I totally get it, just join us for February in our 2017 Book Club!
PSS. None of these books are meant to be politically sided or motivated, just fun reads and learning from successful women. 🙂
