While I was in Chicago yesterday, sitting comfortably in a large conference room for the majority of the day, Chris was keeping himself busy with the many view of the city.
Like this view from the top of the city, with just a layer of glass between him and 1,353 feet of air before the cold, hard concrete below. I guess it was like being in a big glass bubble, 103 stories up.
I was content in the 80 degree conference room and looking at these photos later on, I’m sure either way I would have broken into a sweat. Still, it is a very cool way to see the city.

This totally freaks me out. My heart is racing just lookin at ’em. Very cool though. Now I don’t have wonder what it would look like and scare myself, seriously half to death, cause I’d eventually make myself do it, just to see.

I’ve read about the “bubble” you have pics of…..and it freaked me out then….and now. I’m not even really scared of heights….but THAT would bother me a lot.

I generally can’t see your pictures from work when I look at blogs (shameful, I know)….but I could today! 🙂 We saw these glass boxes from *down there*, decided not to wait in the extremely long lines for it. What an interesting view. 🙂

Even for a picture there is no way I would step out onto one of those boxes. It gives me the shivers just thinking about it!

I love Chicago. It used to be only 3 hours from our home in MI. I haven’t been there since I moved to AZ 2 years ago.
Luck you!
Kelly says
that is really neat!
i must admit…i am a bit jealous! a couple of weeks ago when we were in the city i really wanted to travel up to those ledges…but we ran out of time during our day. : ( it would have been a great photo opp…just as your husband found! (did you hear that they had their first wedding on those ledges this past weekend? that would be interesting!!!)
Grace says
yeah…i’ll leave that view to the more courageous among us. i can’t help but envision myself plummeting to my death whenever i find myself at great heights, so needless to say, i tend to avoid them. 🙂

I saw that on the news when it 1st opened. I would freak.
