This back to school post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

While we were spending the last bits of summer traipsing across our beautiful country on our latest #BlueSummerTour, it seems like the rest of the country was getting all prepped and ready for this Back to School season. We’re back home and settling in, finding our routine again and getting our own back to school prep started, and of course, a stomach bug hit one of my little people today, and then another.
Welcome home, right?
It’s been easy to find the beauty in summer. From the big, grand, sweeping moments to the small ones, when we let ourselves look close enough. In the throaty croak of a frog during afternoon swims before the rain shower washes away the teeny, dirty footprints from a run in the yard. In the frozen chill of a favorite popsicle, the sticky-ness dripping down chins, arms and bellies until all that’s left are the bare popsicle sticks and smiling faces. In the way a bonfire dances to the beat of that summer heat and get’s our little one’s feet moving right along with it. And even, in the way our little ones cuddle a little closer and find peace in our arms when sickness knocks at their door (the sliver of beauty in a moment all mama’s wish would never happen).
It’s as though the moment we truly see the magic in each juncture of time, the calendar shifts and instead of beach towels and flip-flops lining every other shelf from groceries to markets it’s notebooks and pencils, backpacks and lunchboxes. It’s the reminder that things don’t stay the same too often, which can bring both a breath of fresh air and mourning.
When things in our home have been tough, the trials seeming to mount one after another, my husband and I would remind each other, “This too shall pass.” And then when the moments are too precious to even take it all in, we look at each other and whisper, “I wish we could just stay right here, in this moment, forever.”
It’s funny how we want time to simultaneously speed up and slow down, and yet, in the steady rhythm it remains. Which gives us all the more reason to enjoy the very season we’re in while we prep, plan and get excited for the next.
This tightrope between end-of-summer and back-to-school is exactly where we are!

Enjoying the last bits of sleeping-in and all-day-snacking (is that a thing in your house too??!), while we search out back-to-school sales and plan out our back-school outfits (even if we are homeschooling this year + have a whole new home school room makeover coming soon!).

When I can shop for just about all of my kiddos in one place, and especially when I can do it online and at night when they’ve all gone to bed, which is where 99% of my shopping happens, I’m one happy mama! It saves me time that I can spend with them, like teaching them to make their own PB+J sammies or making our weekly trip to the library.
Carter’s now goes up to size 14 with comfort, quality, and affordability still key in their new line… making the new KID line perfect for the whole family! And just like mixing up our schedule to keep it interesting, Carter’s KID line offers mix-and-match styles, so our kids can express their own personality in their style… especially for the First Day of School outfit (’cause you know we’ll all be taking those photos!)!

My granddaughter will be starting school in the fall and we are all excited for her. My husband and I did most of the shopping for her school stuff and she absolutely loves her unicorn design backpack and lunch kit. I will check out Carter’s too. Maybe there is still some cute item we could get for her.
They are such a beautiful kids and I do like what they are wearing it look so comfortable. Definitely there’s a lot of stuff that need to prepare when kids are going back to school.
It wasn’t until I recently heard someone mention that we only get 18 Summers with our children that it hit me… There are only 18 Summers to make the most of family time with my kiddos !! This is a great post to share the best parts of a Summer with young kids. I always loved going back to school shopping as a child and I look forward to doing the same with my little ones, eventually. Thanks for taking the time to share discount codes with parents… this can be huge, especially with families including more than one child.
