Simple and easy dinner idea for the family. Whether you’re a vegetarian or a meat lover, you can’t go wrong with this garlic toast pizza recipe! Even the kids can make it!

Ever have those nights where it’s already TIME to eat and yet you don’t have dinner started… or an idea of what to make?
No? That’s just me? Especially on these long summer days where we’re filling up our summer buckets with as much sunshine and outdoor activity as we can. Days when our daytime hours seem to ease us right into the evening before we even realize it.
In case a night like this happens to you, I’m sharing an easy garlic toast pizza recipe with just FIVE simple ingredients you probably already have on hand… and your kiddos will actually eat it right up.
Okay, so will you. At least I did.

I think every big-family, busy-household should have a few prep-less meal ideas, and some extra “ingredients” in the pantry. When we stock our pantry, I always make sure to have a few jars of pasta sauce on hand, because you can use it for SO many recipes!!
Prego® Traditional sauce is made with vibrant-red, vine-ripened tomatoes and savory Italian seasonings that give more of a homemade taste that everyone loves – and a little more punch than just using tomato sauce in recipes, like our easy garlic toast pizza recipe!
This time, I pulled out Prego® Pasta Sauce, Traditional Italian Tomato Sauce, frozen garlic toast, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices. The great thing here, my kids JUST like cheese pizza, so for them, I only needed THREE ingredients! And the kids can even make this easy garlic toast pizza for themselves!

For a family of our size, we used two boxes of garlic toast and added a Ceasar salad! Just adjust amounts and ingredients based on family size and taste preferences.
We had some pepperoni in our fridge, but you could also add in any kind of cut up veggies you’ve got, cooked meat (meaning leftovers!), etc.
And if you don’t have frozen garlic toast, you could use frozen garlic bread, or even make your own garlic toast with sliced bread, butter and garlic power. See, easy-peazy. And definitely a way to make a meal FAST and use up some of what you’ve got on-hand.
Really, it’s great for last-minute dinner ideas, but our kids love it enough to get added to our weekly Family Meal Plan when we know we’ve got a busy day!
For a delicious Vegetarian option, leave off the pepperoni and other meats, and top with your favorite cheese, veggies, and herbs!
Also? I LOVE to add fresh herbs to just about everything. I thought I had parsley in the fridge, but alas, I was out. I did however have fresh basil and that is actually my top choice for garnishing Italian flavored dishes. So, chiffonade of basil it was… making our easy garlic toast pizza fancy!
