I’m going to start out by saying that I’m pretty sure this doesn’t include authentic ingredients… But it tastes like it just was brought to the table of a Mexican restaurant anyway! It’s delicious and I’m anxious to try a “fresh” version of it as well, but I wanted to stick close to the original recipe for my first try.
As you can see, I got rave reviews from the little man who was scamming dip as I was trying to take photos! And my husband really liked it as well. As for me? Well, I made that bowl a couple hours before dinner and let’s just say that I had to make some more before we actually ate. Whoops! It’s definitely addictive, just like at a restaurant!
Queso Blanco (adapted from sixsistersstuff.com)
Ingredients
- 1/3 lb. White American Cheese (I used 7 slices)
- 2 T Diced Chiles
- 1 T Diced Pickled Jalepenos
- 1 T Pickled Jalepeno Juice
- 2 T Whole Milk
- 1 T Water
Directions
Place all ingredients into microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30 second increments, stirring in between. Serve immediately. Recipe makes about 1 cup Queso Blanco and can easily be multiplied to serve more.
That’s it! Super easy and yummy. A definite addition to taco or burrito night here at our house!
PS I had to take it away from this guy!
