At about this time every year, I get the itch for “new” hair. With the turning of the season on our calendar pages, the feelings of cleaning out, shaping up and desiring a little change is ushered in… usually for everything from home decor to body! Though I haven’t quite decided what direction I’d like to go yet, I’m starting to scroll though current hair trends (reds, monotonal brunette and caramel blonde seems to be what’s hot right now, by the way) and will be filling up my Pinterest boards with ideas. One thing I do know, after moving to a new city, one of the hardest people to replace in your life is a hairdresser. Luckily I found one who’s great with color and with cutting the crazy texture that makes up my hair… two of them actually! So while Anila and Natalya work their magic, let me give you a little tour of Sydney Salon by Anila…
Cute place right? They’ve done a great job at making their space feel warm, welcoming while it gives off a calming vibe.
My mom has always been one for trying new things and new places, never afraid to get her hair done while out of town… and in fact, I think she quite enjoys it. I took her in while she was here visiting and she loved the girls and their skills as well.
Last year I went quite blonde and then by fall it was time for red. Now I’m actually sporting the monotone brunette look, but here are a few of the past looks they’ve given me…
So what do you think I should do next?? Help a sister out 😉
And if you try them out yourself, let me know what you think! See other fun Tampa Bay and Clearwater spots here.
