Looking for the Best Beauty Hacks using baby products? I’m sharing 12 Game Changing Johnson Baby Product Beauty Hacks that really do come in handy! I have been compensated by the JOHNSON’S® Brand for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.
Life hacks. They’re something a mom has in her arsenal, whether she’s heard them from other mamas in the trenches or is just in the thick of it and making it through. We’ve heard it said that necessity is the mother of invention. Well, baby product beauty hacks are something that arises out of the necessity of motherhood, because life is made up of living it, and some of that is finding ways to be brilliant and using what you have.
The moments always look dreamy. Like the haze in a movie dream sequence, where a beautiful filter covers the messiness of life. Where raising babies and kids is sunshine and rainbows and soft music full of baby coos.
You know what the really crazy part is? It is! Raising babies and kids is so full of those amazing moments… and there are also messy moments too. It’s just that the diaper blowouts and sleepless nights and sibling fights and
sinks full of dishes get edited out of our dreams, and many times, our memories too (because later on, those messy parts are the things we remember less and less).
Just this week I was in a conversation with a new mom friend about the normal level of sleep induced weepiness and the I-need-to-talk-to-someone level of weepiness when you have a newborn… because there is such a thing, with both.
And also? In those months of being surrounded by the remnants of your sleepless nights, piles of diapers and baby products, there’s such a thing as playing a “cleanup game” where the kids fill a laundry basket with items from a room that are out of place, so they’re all gathered and then can be put away. And there’s such a thing as using coffee mugs for cereal because you don’t have any more clean dishes, and making an adventure out of it for the kids.
And it’s like gold when we realize we can cook cake in said coffee mugs in the microwave (comes in handy at midnight, although I’m not recommending it 😉 ), or peel a hard boiled egg by shaking a cup!
You know what those are? Brilliant ideas. #LifeHacks
So if you’re ready to transform your beauty routine, read on for some totally tried and true #lifehacks for those baby products you’ll find all over your home – and also really inexpensively at Walmart if you need to make a run, or do what I do and just order online and let your husband pick up your order later that day with order pickup (another #lifehack that is pretty much life changing).

Our 12 Game Changing Baby Product Beauty Hacks
Game Changing JOHNSON’S® Wipes Beauty Hacks
Makeup Remover
Not only are baby wipes much more affordable than beauty wipes, they are made for sensitive baby skin which will mean that they are good enough for baby’s tush, they’re gentle enough for your skin too. This is especially great when traveling… or when you’ve had a really long day and just need to climb into bed – at least you can get that makeup off first with JOHNSON’S® Baby HEAD TO TOE™ Cleansing Cloths! Plus, whenever you’ve got a little “oopsie” from stray eyeliner or wayward shadow, you can give a quick cleanup instead of starting over.
Nail Polish Clean Up
Use a JOHNSON’S® Baby Hand and Face Wipes for an easy way to clean up around your nail beds when you are painting in a hurry and find that you’ve colored outside of the lines, it’s gentler on your skin than using nail polish remover and cleans it easily. Bonus: Apply a drop of baby oil on your cuticles when you’re finished to protect and moisten!
Tame Flyaway Strands
An easy way to push down those annoying flyaway strands is by simply using a wipe to press them down… and they’ll stay.
Makeup Brush Cleaner
Clean off excess makeup by rubbing your brushes down on a wipe. It isn’t going to be a full deep clean, but it will work in a pinch to clean off any buildup on your brushes so at least you won’t be “highlighting” when you’ve still got bronzer on your brush!
Quick Clean
Rather than use a towel, or goodness, a paper towel to clean up deodorant marks, baby spit up or just about any other thing that mom’s have on their clothes on any given day (which usually is a LOT), grab one of your wipes! They don’t leave lint, won’t leave your clothes too wet and work like a charm. Not too hot, and hot too cold. Not to dry and not too wet, the perfect mix to give your clothing a quick clean.
Game Changing JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil Beauty Hacks
Shave Oil
Instead of shaving cream, you can use a little JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil on your legs before you shave. It’s a great lubricant for shaving and also seals in moisture, leaving your skin feeling soft and hydrated in the process… and serves as a great solution when you need a “touch up” shave before heading out the door. Please tell me I’m not the only one that’s done this?!
Split End Saver
Want to tame those split ends before you run out the door? You don’t need fancy hair oils for that, just grab your wee one’s baby oil it will do the trick (start with just a little, you don’t want to overdo it on the oil factor).
DIY Face, Lip or Body Scrub
Making your own body scrub is one of the easiest DIY’s, just combine your baby oil and some sugar (brown sugar is gentle, and coffee is a great addition as well!). This will exfoliate and moisturize your skin leaving you feeling baby soft.
All in One – Makeup Remover + Moisturizer
I have a friend, a beauty queen and model from Ireland, who always swore by baby oil. In fact, that’s all she would pack in her suitcase as skincare. She used it to remove her makeup, keep her skin moisturized and more – and I have to say, she always did and still looks fabulous!!
While I can’t say I use it exclusively, baby oil makes a really great makeup remover for me, especially for the eyes and lips. Quite a few of the most popular makeup removers have oil in their formula. The oil helps to breakdown the makeup and moisturizes skin in the process.
Game Changing JOHNSON’S® Baby Powder Beauty Hacks
Dry Shampoo
Dry Shampoo has come a long way in recent years. They now have them tinted for each hair color and scented to deodorize as well, but before all of that came to pass, baby powder was a perfect solution to extend your hairdo for a couple extra days. It helps add volume as well as get rid of excess grease. Being white, you do have to be careful with how much you add at a time, I suggest putting it into your hands first and then massaging it into your scalp. Truth? I sometimes still grab JOHNSON’S® Baby Powder Calming Lavender before I use some of the dry shampoo sprays because I like it better than most more expensive options!
Eye Primer + Eyelash Thickener
Brush a thin layer of baby powder onto your lids before applying any shadow. This will work as a perfect base to keep that shadow in place all day.
If you are looking to build up your lashes, a few coats of baby powder and your favorite mascara will do just the trick. The baby powder latches onto your lashes giving them a fuller, longer look. Falsies on the cheap!
Shoe Deodorizer
This is an oldie but a goodie, just puff some baby powder into the bottom of your shoes to act as a deodorizer and to keep your sockless feet from slipping around. I have my kids do this with their shoes on the regular as well!
