So the temps around here have been slowly climbing, giving us afternoons with curtains dancing in the breeze and evenings where mama’s feet are propped up, fans releasing their own faux breeze… and sometimes to the low hum of our air conditioner. Yes, it’s spring in Florida.
This also means smoothies are becoming a regular around here, like this recently posted Green Monster Smoothie, and today my wee ones and I want to share of our easy, breezy favorites with you!
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a KitchenWise episode, and so we were a little rusty… but it was no less fun and entertaining, and it won’t be quite so long before the next one. Promise. Oh, and for a little (and much less healthy) treat, check out our very first episode with a cameo at the end of a very little Brayden!
Blue (purple) Dragon Smoothie
Makes two cups
1/2 cup milk (whatever kind you prefer… organic milk, rice milk, almond milk)
1/2 yogurt (greek, organic, vanilla)
1 banana
1 cup frozen berries
Throw it all in a blender, or let your kiddos do it for you, blend well and serve immediately! We pour some into popsicle containers and freeze for a later snack and still have plenty to drink.
