A red headed bundle of energy greeted our studio early Saturday morning, and we couldn’t have been happier. His almost one-year-old energy rubbed off and had us laughing, jumping and singing songs for the rest of our session. And even now, each time I see that toothy grin topped with bright crimson locks, I know a smile will be greeting my face again.
We were thrilled with Erika, Kurt and Derek, they are simply beautiful from the inside – out.
And my partner in it all, Briony, had her hands full designing and building this set while I was out of town. I’m not sure if I should feel bad for being gone while she worked her fingers to the bone… or happy that I missed all the “fun.” But she certainly rocked it!
And for a little behind-the-scenes action… this is me, early in the morning, trying to mold myself into the size of a one-year-old for our lighting test shots, with my steaming Starbucks cup just out of camera view.
We had a great time, and hope to see this family grace our studio again soon! And I can’t wait to find another use for that cute little newspaper city.

NOTHING about that city project looks fun, lol. I do believe you “lucked out” for missing that. Go Bri!! My favorite is the pose of them kissing desperately holding onto the baby as you can see him trying to squirm away. That’s what makes your photos real 🙂 I’m so excited you have a studio!!!!
