Last night I stared at this blank screen ready to write, ready to say something, but… nothing. My mind had completely drifted off to sea, submerged into the deep murky waters of writer’s block. My eyes fixated on this fresh canvas until my eyelids drooped their way to sleepiness and I sank deeper, letting the waves wash over me, taking me into my dreams and bringing me to shore by morning. This is where I stroll, waiting for the tide to come in, bringing in it’s swell a new dose of creativity. I feel the lull of the receding waters, and though my mind races with anticipation of autumn, of holiday plans and creating vibrant memories with my littles, the morning has me finding inspiration in sharing laughs and tickles with my littlest love and feathering my nest a bit with a new addition to my girl’s vibrant room.
And in just enjoying those simple things, I can feel creativity a brewin’. Nana’s on her way over and a glue gun is heating up ready to whip this house into tip top party shape.
From where I stand, I can see the tide beginning to roll in.

YEAH!!! You’re feeling better 🙂 Lucas woke up with a stuffy nose last night and a little cough. I finally conceded and just brought him to bed with me 🙂

Wow – love her room, it’s beautiful! And I know what you mean about writer’s block. I feel it in waves so when I’m feeling creative, I have to jump on it before I lose it! 🙂

I love that picture of her! And her room! I have so wanted to get some wrapped canvases of my girls, but the money just isn’t there to invest in it right now.
So glad that you feel creativity rising! I think we all have those lulls.

What a stunning photo! I love the color scheme in her room, you have her room done just how I want my daughters’ room…. if they would only actually sleep in it lol.
