Travel // Our Trip to Miami Beach

Last week I had a little work trip to Miami Beach. Okay maybe it wasn’t so little, considering I was there for almost two weeks, but the little bits and pieces of time I had free added up to a pretty special little vacation with my littlest man and some good catch-up time with my mama, who came along with us. We soaked in the sunshine when we could, and danced our way through the rainy days that peppered our weeks with good food, amazing juices to boost our nutrition, cuban coffee (cortadito) and a few window shopping trips down Lincoln. It was the best time!

Skylar was such a rockstar with being schlepped all around the city, through the bursts of warm sunlight and under a gray veil of rain, in the mix of languages and accents, and around all the crazy scents where dirty, littered roads pour out onto the upkept, shop lined streets and pretty paths of the beach boardwalk. We enjoyed our time in this fusion of cultures and voices, sights and food.

^^Right before he face-planted in the sand. I couldn’t stop laughing as I took his shirt of and used it to wipe the sand from his face and out of every crevice in his neck and ears while all the onlookers around were probably wondering why I was such a horrible mother.
