Some days, parenting leaves you looking like you could be the new poster child for abstinence, finding snot on your shoulder from who knows when and craving a shower after cleaning up a diaper blowout at the dining room table, one that has you gagging the entire time. But the beautiful teeter-tottter, the thing that always brings it full circle, is after the showers and baths, after the seat’s been sanitized and wiped down a trillion times over and you’re left looking not at the rag-a-muffin in the mirror but at the amazing soul you’re holding in your arms, and the slate went and cleaned itself.
Today my littlest and I had a little Us Time, and I stayed on the top of that teeter, breathing in the refreshing air of being high on life. Clean slate I tell you, clean slate.

ah yes… the teeter totter always does it…God must have planned that teetering walking for exactly when their poop is the most awful…
On a side note…for the worst mom ever files…I always dress my kids to look the cutest when they are driving me the craziest…and I look at pictures of them at their cutest when in person they are somehow dirty 24-7…for some reason the cuteness really does take the sting out of all the dirt…

Beautiful. I’m glad you had us time together. I had that also with one of my sons over the weekend and it still has me beaming. Those moments one-on-one are priceless.

Awe, yeah…life seems to balance itself out. We have days where we wonder WHAT WERE WE THINKING…and then the next day is pure bliss and all the junk from the day before is erased.
LOVE the pic of you and little man! So cute!
