Since having by second child, my baby boy Brayden, sleep has moved itself down a few rungs on the priority ladder. A direct result is my desire for sleep is ever increasing, meaning, my daily goal is to get in bed pretty early to try and get in a few hours of sleep a night.
That doesn’t usually happen.
After spending a few nights in New York City, I’m reminded that people actually stay up past 9pm, that they may only get a few hours of sleep a night, and that they enjoy it.

Oh I hear you!
The thing is, I think baby-induced sleep deprivation is a whole different ball game from when we used to stay up all night on our own accord!

I don’t have a baby and I feel I need to get to bed early, because the next day I have to have at least 6 kids with me. 😛 But that’s one think I would rather do without, is the midnight feedings lol.

I’m in jammies by 4 pm every day. Clearly I have issues.

I hope it gets better soon. I don’t function well without enough sleep.

hee, @blueviolet, i like doing that too :). if we’re in for the night (and sometimes that starts @ 4 p.m.) then there’s no reason to be wearing regular clothes.

Your picture makes me drool, I love NYC. I used to stay up later than 9…I just don’t get it anymore. I sometimes wish I was that person. I’m just not.

Sleep is for sissies, right? 😉 Trust me. It WILL get better! Let that be your mantra! I still go to bed earlier than I did before I had kids, but they have gotten to a point where they’ll sleep for 12 hours.
Love this picture. How did you not get run over?!

Oh how I don’t miss those lack of sleep days. 🙂
But what a fantastic shot.
