Happy National S’mores Day, friends! I have to say, a classic s’more isn’t my favorite dessert… although it pretty much is quintessential summer in dessert form and who’s not into soaking in the last bits of summer before turning the calendar page to the cornucopia of autumnal offerings?! With that said, some of these twists on S’mores’ delicious little name are my absolute favorite desserts. Ever.
In honor of National S’mores Day, we’ve rounded up some of our fave chocolate + marshmallow treats, dubbing this the 10 best s’mores recipes… and pretty much the only ones you’ll need to indulge your sweet tooth in every s’more which way. 🙂
Here are 10 DIY ways to make deliciously mouthwatering s’mores treats…
1. Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter S’mores Skillet Cookie
Topped with a dallop of vanilla bean ice cream and some caramel drizzle, it’s an explosion of the perfect mix of flavors and textures.
Maybe with something being so small and adorable we won’t feel bad for eating quite so much? Worth a try! 🙂
Like chocolate chip cookies? These are the most delactable indulgance for the cookie lover.
Nutella + S’mores + Cupcakes, oh my! But really, these are SO good and rich, it’s best to have something smooth to wash it down with.
A mini bite of waffles, stuffed with s’more and topped with magic shell… the entire thing is pretty magical. And just plain pretty.
A cool and refreshing way to indulge. A tasty treat, especially for the ice cream lover.
7. Salted Caramel S’mores Hot Chocolate
Okay, so this is basically heaven in a mug. Oh my goodness. Need something warm to sip? It’s the ultimate ending to a great summer meal.

Too much yum! We made chocolate minifigures last month (tut. on the blog) and had fun making microwave s’mores with them. Place marshmallow on your graham and stab a choco Lego man or 2 into the top. Then nuke. It is pretty funny watching them rise fall as the marshmallow swells and collapses. When maximum poof is reached squish together with other graham. Best part is watching kids crack up and want to do again
