Women use around 515 individual chemicals on their skin each day through cosmetics. It’s no surprise that pure essential oil use is on the rise. There are lots of amazing essential oils good for skin with natural benefits.
When creating your own skin products from pure essential oils and carrier oils, there is peace of mind. You know exactly what is in your products. There are no emulsifiers, preservatives, or synthetic thickeners.
It’s one of those less-is-more situations.
Carrier oils have a variety of benefits for various skin types and issues. It’s such a broad topic it would warrant a post of its own, so I’ll leave that for another day.
Each essential oil you choose has specific benefits as well. I’ve been creating my own face and body oils for YEARS, and even have a DIY hair growth oil! It always feels so luxe… and so does my skin!

Skin Absorption of Essential Oil
Absorbing the properties in essential oils will vary from person to person. Factors that may change the effectiveness of an essential oil include dilution rate, other ingredients, area of the body it’s applied to, user’s age, user’s gender, or user’s race.
I talked about dilution rates for adults and children in a recent post. You can find more information on the subject in my many other essential oil posts.
With that said, we can’t change most of the other factors that may affect your essential oil remedy results (i.e. age, gender, race). I recommend starting at the most cautious dilution rate and slowly increasing until you see the result you wish.
If you have any stop using the essential oil immediately and take action to remedy the issue. Don’t delay.
Now, let’s get into these awesome essential oils good for skin that will revitalize and heal your skin.
