This is the first Fab Finds post of the year and there are so many great links, I just may have gone overboard. Overboard is one thing that I’ve been doing the opposite of lately, at home.
While being at home for a few days taking care of my daughter, I’ve been able to rest and reflect. What is really important to me? What type of environment am I creating for my family?
I believe that we are a product of what we surround ourselves with, a product of our environment. I want our home environment to be a place of peace, of place where creativity can blossom, a place of love.
In my quest for domesticating myself, I’m learning to cut the clutter and keep things simple. In order to get things done and still truly be present for the important things, like family, simple is better.
You may see more of this simple journey sprouting itself on this blog here. After all, it is a reflection of me. There are many fun things in the works for the year, in my home life and in this blog, and I’m grateful that you’re a part of it.
So, in keeping with today’s theme, of simplicity and family, here are a few places I’ve visited this week.
@ Write, Mama. Write.: Mood changers for toddler days, perfect.
@ Simple Mom: 10 reasons for us all to love that word, money-management.
@ Frugal Dad: A cheap and green ingredient for just about anything… and it’s probably in your cupboard.
@ Peanut Gallery: Baby Blue’s ‘pink bear’ always makes her feel better, whether she needs an ice pack or not. (It stayed close to her these past few days)
@ Think Simple Now: Great read on the journey towards living The Simple Life.
@ On Simplicity: Can you really learn about simple living from a pick-up artist?
@ Simple Mom: After cleaning out the toys last weekend, I came across this post… and I agree!
@ The Positivity Blog: 9 ways to make yourself miserable. Huh?
@ Fail Blog: We helped some friends move this week… glad it didn’t end up this way. (Just a link to get you to smile)
@ On Simplicity: Start enjoying today.
Enjoy yourself a wonderfully simple weekend!

Gorgeous picture and what beautiful thoughtful post. One thing I am not good at is being reflective on my life (or at least not sharing it).
Bloggers like you inspire me to be more! I can’t wait to check out some of your favorite bloggers.

That photo is absolutely beautiful! We can all use some more simplicity in our lives, but it’s harder than I thought to de-clutter and simplify.

I went and checked out a few of the blogs…I totally fell in love with Think Simple Now…perfect (I added it to my reader).
My husband and I have been enjoying the fail blog for awhile now…It is fantastic – we laughed so hard we woke up our 13 year old (that is BAD! Do NOT wake up a teenager…EVER).
Lovely post. Very internal and reflective. I’ve been feeling that way lately as well…
