It’s been a slow last month or so.
Not all around, but definitely in the fitness department.
I usually try to work out 4-5 days a week and when B is deployed, it’s sometimes more. Mostly because I just need more Mommy breaks and the YMCA is awesome because I don’t feel guilty about it. But the last 4-6 weeks have been more like 2-3 times a week and not especially intense workouts.
I’ve always hated running. Really hated it. With the fire of a thousand suns. However, about 6 months ago, B suggested we run an adventure race together and I’m pretty sure he used some type of hypnotism to get me to agree. Either way, I did agree and began training. Before you think I’m totally crazy, it was a 3.6 mile adventure race, not a 8 or 12 miler. Thank goodness.
So, for about 6 months I’ve been running pretty regularly (about 2-3 times per week) until now. And I’m weirdly anxious to get back to it. I won’t tell you I’m in love with it because it definitely still takes some serious motivation to get going. But I will tell you that I don’t hate it anymore. So, I’m ready to get back to work. And I’m ready to run.
