Recently we’ve been on a crepe kick, and stumbled upon La Creperia Cafe on a day out with some friends. Though unassuming and more diner-style at first glance, the crepes are delicious! And so is the coffee. Ordering from a book sized menu does take awhile as there were so many choices, raging from classic the French savory and sweet options to a wide range of Greek style choices as well. Nestled closely into Ybor City, there is so much see around you, so the street dining is quite fun, although there is plenty of seating inside as well as the Florida summer sizzles on.
Our breakfast crepes were full and satisfying, though I have to say the Nutella crepe was probably my favorite (and I wonder where my son gets his sweet tooth). Really, the selections make me want to come back just to try dessert over and over again. It’s a great place for brunch on your way through Ybor, or for a girl’s morning out. Or even for a date before antique shopping in the neighborhood. If you stop by, make sure to walk up to the window to watch the crepes being made. And if you’re short on time, just order one of the dessert crepes and a coffee to go!
