Hump Day Dump

It’s amazing to me how days swing by as if a pendulum on a beautifully carved grandfather clock. How some days swing far into days in the sun, and sand, and exploration. How some have us deep in work, and meetings, and planning. And yet somehow, there’s always this middle place, this area of the in between, where tucking tired little legs into their sheets and extending bedtime stories and kisses is heaven, because it’s centering. It’s our calm, our respite, our home.

We’ve had a week of plenty of fun exploration, and yet somehow we seemed to accomplish so much on the work front. It’s been busy for sure, and I always seem to capture the highlights somehow. But what I’m remembering right now? The centering cuddles and kisses and I-love-yous.
