Raise your hand if you have dry hair.
My hand is raised. I have a little trick to help those locks get a dose of good moisture, though I really need to do this more often myself. The good thing is it’s easy, and just takes a few ingredients from your kitchen…
To try this recipe, just mix up a couple of eggs, a couple tablespoons of coconut oil (or olive oil if that’s what you’ve got, I prefer the scent and benefits of coconut), and a couple tablespoons of honey. (Avocado is another great kitchen item that you could mash up in the mix if you’ve got one on hand.) Mix together and spread evenly throughout your hair… and leave on as long as possible. Put a shower cap on to sleep in overnight, or pull it back in a pony to leave on for the day, then just wash and condition as usual.
The eggs are great as extra protein for the hair, but if the though of raw eggs kind of freaks you out, then just leave them out! We don’t always use them ourselves.
As always, if you have other ideas or if you try this, let me know what you think! I’d love to hear your feedback.
And if you missed last week’s tea infused foot soak episode, check it out here, the bloopers in that episode were the best!
