I’ll be honest, dressing after baby and while breastfeeding isn’t easy. And with this fourth, my stomach just hasn’t gone flat quite so quickly as it has in the past (I guess I need to get in gear and work on that), so I don’t fit into all of my clothes comfortably yet and mom fashion was a losing battle. With this 90+ degree heat and the need to access breast milk on the go, it was taking me awhile to figure out what to wear on the daily.
Though fall is right around the corner, it’s going to stay pretty warm here in Florida for awhile. Usually I just want summer to go on and on, but this year I’m already craving the regular routine and flavors of fall… although I’m not ready for everything pumpkin yet, let me get in a couple more pool days first! The kids are excitedly getting ready for their own school routines, closets are cleaned out and hopefully it won’t take any of us too long to figure out what to wear on the daily. Thankfully I’ve found some dresses to live in for the rest of the summer so I can save my skinny jeans for when temps actually dip below 90 degrees.
With the simple and easy mom fashion looks above (meaning an uber comfortable dress tied at the bottom and with pockets for the win!), I just use my nursing/car seat cover and feed Aria through the neckline opening of the dresses (grateful for stretch!). I don’t have to invest in “nursing” pieces, I just have to find items that I can make work while breastfeeding and beyond. The black dress is from Gunny Sack and Co and the pink dress is from Pink Blush (and while it’s not a nursing dress, they have an entire line of nursing-wear too!). We’re also having a GIVEAWAY on Instagram for $75 to shop Pink Blush, so you can pick your own look! Below are a few other budget friendly finds from the last few days of the that work for end of summer and through fall, and can totally be worn by a breastfeeding mama too:

PS. I recently shared a couple more looks that work for this hot weather and tips for staying cool, check it out!

Your kids are beautiful and you look awesome after having 4 kids. I love the color of your second dress – you rock it momma. I totally agree with you that post partum body combined with breastfeeding is a tough fashion challenge. Cross over tops are a good option for easy breast access.
