Something I’m finding to be especially needed now that I’ve had a C-section. More on that emergency decision and the birth story coming soon. So stay tuned!
But for now, back to postpartum self-care. I’m not talking about caring for my body right now with things I can’t or shouldn’t do, like exercise or scented baths. I’m not looking at a scale or a size, but rather ways to easily and wholesomely give my body the attention and nurturing it needs in this fourth trimester.
As I go through this journey of healing my body while caring for our new twins, follow along on Instagram as well. I’ll be sharing in my Instagram stories each day more of what I’m doing to help cultivate a culture of whole health in our home.
And it’s not just for me. In fact, our family is working with AdventHealth for a 21 day Feel Whole Challenge and that means focusing on the body, mind, and spirit and not neglecting any one of the three.
The main reason I’m excited about this challenge is together, we’re going to spend just a little bit of time each day creating healthy habits as a family that benefits each part of our whole selves… and my hope is that it inspires you to take the challenge as well. Whether chronically ill or perfectly healthy — there is value in whole-person care and we can truly take care of ourselves through small, incremental changes. This challenge is all about those small changes that are doable and meaningful.
We have the power to take health into our own hands. To change our habits. To choose how we want to live each day. To be more positive. More mindful. More accountable to ourselves and our future.
Are you up for feeling whole?
