I have to say, I’ve had such a great time working with West Elm recently. I had so much fun and couldn’t be any happier with how everything turned out with the first West Elm event I had the pleasure of hosting! First, the brand was amazing to work with. It was already a brand that I had a crush on, but after working with them and the Hyde Park store, I’m even more in love. And also, the team there is just a great group of people that like working with their community, I always love stepping foot into their space.
Of course, I loved putting together and filling sweet little gift bags for our guests! I hand painted the gift bags, which was super simple with a circle sponge and gold paint, and then added goodies from some of my favorite shops. The hand poured soy candles from Riles and Co. were a hit and the handcrafted natural soap and relaxing inhaler from Ashleigh’s Essence had everyone sniffing their way through the night, in the best way possible. Our ears were most definitely not left out as we walked away with some fabulous earrings, like the colorful colorblocked wooden earrings from Penny and Tillie and the sweet little mint green pair from Belle Accessoires (I’ve been rotating between the two every day since!). Everyone also walked away with a beautiful gold pair of dangle earrings from Don Me Now, where owner Danielle styled me for the event. That’s right, those bright orange skinnies are straight from her shop and hot for spring, I love them! I’ll be sharing more on this shop soon. Of course I wasn’t surprised how excited everyone was over the faux tattoos from Tattly, I had a blast wearing mine.
Everyone can use a handcrafted card for the next baby shower they attend right? Roc Paper Scissors, who also created amazing custom art for me, sent every guest home with one. And no gift bag is complete without chocolate, that’s why Ashworth Artisan Chocolate stepped up to the plate and gave us all some delicious little treats. I’m so thankful to our amazing sponsors for the event who made everyone there feel special as they looked through their gifts bags, and I’m thankful to all of you who support our sponsors. That’s why I saved three gift bags for a giveaway here! That’s right, three of you will get all of these fun goods, plus your own tote bag and some paints and brushes to customize it on your doorstep, so stay tuned until the end of this post.
All of the companies that we worked with on this event were top shelf and so great to collaborate with. These gorgeous floral arrangements from Apple Blossoms were perfectly Spring-y and stunning (my favorite part is most definitely the little ladybug on each one!). Of course, we went straight to the best in the business and used paint, brushes and stencils from the queen of DIY, Martha Stewart.
I was so excited to have treats from Piquant on our menu! Their mini sandwiches were delicious and easy for everyone to nibble, but the sweet treats were what knocked everything out of the park . Even their gluten free option was polished off before the night was over.
I think my favorite part of all was just watching everyone have fun meeting and making new friends and letting their creativity flow. Having an outlet to get out and enjoy the company of others and tasty snacks while creating was so much fun. By the end of the night, the 20 of us there had become new friends. I just loved watching everyone create, each with their own style. Each giving me more inspiration… I wanted to make about 20 different bags myself! It was such a fantastic group. We all left happy and ready for the next event, and yes, there will be more with details to come soon!
I’ll be sharing the full (and easy) DIY soon, but for now, let’s get to the good stuff… a giveaway! We would have loved it if you all could have been a part of the event, but since that wasn’t possible, we’re bringing the event to you! Three of you will win this stocked swag bag along with a blank tote bag, paints and brushes so that you can customize your own at home!
Thank you to everyone that was a part of this fun day, and thank you West Elm for being so amazing!
