An Easy Way to Infuse Thanksgiving Decor Onto Your Thanksgiving Table
While we’re prepping our Thanksgiving dinner, we don’t want to forget the table! It only takes a few small touches to make for a special dinner… and my kids always get excited when they see candles lit! To them, it’s a symbol to them of the extra love and care put into the dinner, and triggers an exciting experience.
Start with what you have and layer up!
For the base of our Thanksgiving table and decor, we just added a couple of tablecloths! I love the layering trend, and that extends to tablescapes as well. In fact, if I’d had a cream or white colored linen cloth, I would have added it, too. But since we’re keeping this meal easy and simple, I decided not to run all over town to find one.
Adding some pumpkins from the house and candles is another way to use what we have while making the Thanksgiving dinner table a special space.
Use the meal as the centerpiece!
In all of our Thanksgiving decor and other holiday meals, I like using food as part of the table decor. Of course, for a Thanksgiving dinner, nothing shines quite like the quintessential Thanksgiving turkey, or even a Baked Ham with Fig Chipotle Glaze! So why not use it?! Let your delicious dinner be the star of the show, and that also means less decor to buy or store afterwards.
