Do you struggle with balancing the demands of both your family life and your work life, and sometimes feel like, despite your best efforts, you just aren’t quite nailing either? If so, we have all been there! And this is the episode for you.
In my 17 years of being a mother, the career side of my life has gone through all the cycles and, even though I am passionate about my role as a mother and my family are at the centre of my life, I didn’t want my career aspirations to fall by the wayside when I became a mom. In today’s episode, I am joined by someone equally passionate about both mothering and their career – my good friend, Yamel Belen.
Yamel is a fellow big family mom and an ambitious entrepreneur running multiple businesses, and in this episode she joins me to talk all about balancing business and babies.
Yamel is a registered nurse with extensive experience in Pediatrics and is a trailblazer in the birth community. Over a decade ago, she founded One Love Doula Services, dedicated to supporting individuals throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and she recently expanded her impact by launching One Last Nanny last year. Yamel is a respected leader in the birth & parenting community and last year she launched ‘The Motherhood Kit’ podcast to offer further invaluable support to women on their motherhood journey.
In this episode, we discuss the challenges that we and so many other women experience when it comes to balancing family life alongside career pursuits, and share our insights on how we work to foster connection and maintain a loving environment within our families, alongside pursuing our professional goals.
So put in your headphones, settle in, and get ready to shine!
