I’ve officially dubbed this week “Popsicle Week” in my home. If we’re not eating them, we’re planning the next one, shopping for ingredients or making them. I’ve just got popsicles on the mind, people. With the weather so hot this past week… SO hot, and with three boys in the house (one of them being my husband) who all have a very substantial sweet tooth, I had to find a way to satisfy all their candy-coated cravings. Our Americana pops have been PERFECT for my teething little guy, and well, we’ve all loved the healthy, refreshing treat. But for this one? I decided to add some chocolate in the equation. One of my husbands favorite summer treats are Fudgesicles, so we decided to make our own, with a twist.
With some chocolate pudding (I like this one because there isn’t as much bad stuff in it), a few spoonfulls of Nutella and a bit of almond milk, this is definitely a concoction for a deliciously smooth and creamy sweet treat. It’s not necessarily healthy, but a healthier option (with some added protein and fiber) than the store bought variety, and the addition of Nutella to the flavor is sublime.
- 1 Cup Chocolate Pudding
- 1/2 Cup Almond Milk (or other milk of choice)
- 2-3 Tbls Nutella
- Add all ingredients to blender and mix well.
- Pour into popsicle molds and insert clean wooden popsicles sticks.
- Cover and freeze for up to two hours or until hardened.
- Soften under warm running water to loosen popsicle from molds when ready to eat. Enjoy!
