This past week on the set at our own Fresh Collective Studio with the amazing team that Folgers rounded up for our shoot what an absolute blast. Seventeen people in my space, with equipment and props and wardrobe and makeup… and along with a full schedule, a full studio and a full plate, my heart was full too! So today, we’re dishing on our Folgers shoot behind the scenes 😉
This collaboration began earlier this summer when Aria was still a bun in the oven. We exchanged emails back and forth, made plans, hopped on phone calls and all of it… the planning, the writing and the time put in cumulated with a full on push to finish up this week. Two full days of video shoots (beginning around 7am and wrapping between 7 and 8pm) followed by two days of photoshoots meant that this weekend I managed to get in an accidental nap while nursing Aria. Clearly it was needed. No matter how tired I might have felt though, I was also exhilarated by the commotion happening around me. 
We had such a great time. My kids LOVED the team and really loved having so much company! I think they really missed all their new friends after the shoots were wrapped. Skylar pretty much had a new girlfriend by the time everyone had cleared out… he even had Brayden write a note to her for him, since he can’t actually write yet himself. It was just the cutest. And you guys, our cats. They were so loved. Like really, the kitties were friendly, almost too friendly, and wanted to be around and in every shot. And can I just say that the saddest thing was taking off my eyelashes at the end of each night; it may be time for extensions again soon!
Something I’ve come to find in life is that when you surround yourself with people who are great at what they do, it helps you step up to be great at what you do! If you want an indicator of where you’re headed, take a snapshot of the people most involved in your life, we can tend to follow suit. So… Who have you been surrounding yourself with lately? Let it be those that lift you up. And on the flip side, my heart is that everyone I encounter leaves just a little bit happier.
