This year I’ve decided to do something a little different. I’m realizing that with our littlest just turning seven months old that time isn’t slowing and I haven’t been snapping the shutter of my camera as often. So with each week this year it will bring a new opportunity for me to freeze a moment in time with my lens. I want to see their growth, I want to see where we started this year and how much they’ve grown by the end of this year. After finding this inspiration of a portrait of each child each week, this will be a year of photos of my children through my eyes. I want to capture them, their faces, their hands, their growing imaginations, I want to capture more. And just seeing these photos, looking at them again in their element, reminds me of being content always… of enjoying these sweet little moments as they happen.
Skylar // He’s been our drooling baby lately. I snapped this photo as I sat him in his crib so I take care of a few things, but when I turned around he smiled so big at me, I had to stay and play for a few minutes.
Brayden // Our sneaky snacker. If we’re ever looking for him, a good bet is that he’s in the pantry. I snapped this photo as he was swiping a dish of strawberries off of the table.
Aliyah // She and I just began piano lessons together last week, and we’ve been practicing every day.
Do you have children? What is it about them that inspires you?
