With the biggest gifting season of the year wrapped up, it’s easy to forget for a moment that there are still other big reasons for gifting coming up, and many times right around the corner. With Valentine’s Day on it’s way (one of the biggest wedding days of the year) we figured it would be a good time for a wedding gift guide. Why so soon? Well because it also pairs up well with one of the goals that Chris and I set for 2014… more dates!
It’s so important when married to keep the love alive with special time together, set aside from the daily grind of life… and there’s no better time to remind a couple of that than when they say, “I do.” Help your friends start of their marriage on the right foot by arming them with some tools for their own dates. Since it can sometimes be hard to justify the costs of dates when first married (or when married with a brood of kids for that matter), it’s great to have an arsenal ready for a low-cost, yet high-on-special rendezvous.
1/ The Metro Basket 2/ Plaid Throw 3/ Stainless Steal Corkscrew 4/ Cotton Napkins 5/ Polycarbonate Wine Glasses 6/ Cheese Board with Tools 7/ Melt Candle 8/ Pizza Stone 9/ Palm-Held Pizza Slicer & Ice Cream Scoop 10/ Cozy Socks 11/ Border Knit Throw 12/ JBL Flip Wireless Bluetooth Speaker
I teamed up with Target for this post, since so many couple register there for their wedding registry… so while you’re there shopping and browsing their wish list, you could always pick up a couple of these special keepsakes to give them a date night out or a date night in. Or, like Chris and I, round up a few of these items for yourself and determine that this year, whether you’ve been married for years or just starting out, have kids or not, you’ll make it a point to carve out regularly scheduled date nights together.
What does your favorite date night out or in consist of?
I’ll start… I love a date night in with Chinese takeout, comfy socks and a good movie once the kiddos are tucked into bed!
Cheers to you and your goals in 2014!!
